We are looking for an experienced QA tester to help us test Smart TV applications.

We are currently managing projects for global live TV and streaming services and are looking for a QA tester to join our team and work with one of our clients in the U.S.

Based in Prague’s District 7, we have developers working at our office as well off-site development staff operating in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. We work as small teams on projects related to video application development. Haven’t heard of Smart TV apps yet? No worries - it is basically the same development work as with desktop browsers. To cut a long story short, it is a comprehensive web app that works a lot with video files.

Job description

Testing Smart TV applications manually (Note: As different types of TV sets are tested, you will need to come to the office by default.)
Providing feedback and improving QA processes
Collaborating closely with the team of developers
Participating in online meetings with the Us-based team, which takes place mainly in the afternoon
Producing automated tests in JavaScript (if you don’t have experience, we will be happy to help)

Skills required

Great communication skills (both Czech and English necessary)
Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently
Pro-active thinking and attention to detail
Previous experience with manual testing
Previous experience with automated testing is a great advantage
Willingness to learn new testing technologies
Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS)
Knowledge of JavaScript is an advantage
Knowledge of UX is an advantage
